I'm taking a short writing break to update and practice my ballad collection and to get my fret/fingering calluses back on my fingerstyle guitar technique.
In the meantime I spend a lot of time on SoundCloud putting together a good selection of songs many of which over the years have had a profound effect on me, and my steady 20-year study of transatlantic European ethnomusicology. A study with roots in the Renaissance and baroque era, spreading in folk tradition throughout France, the Celtic Isles and Britain, fed with hot tribal tradition from Scandinavia and sent to settle in and transform North America. I currently have 8 playlists and you are welcome to listen the artists I have selected. The playlists are always growing as I find more songs to share. Eventually I will be uploading my own selection of ballads.
